Onions
The quality of onions is often judged by their golden yellow peel for yellow onions and purple and shiny peel for red onions. It is also appreciated by their taste and their flavor that only the terroirs and the care taken in their cultivation can give them.
Onions, stemmed and unstemmed
BS Farming and Mac Pom mainly market yellow and red onions. The onions mainly come from the French regions of Beauce, Champagne and Northern France.
The marketing period runs from harvest to April for batches kept in cold storage. Depending on production, the onions may be packaged in Big Bags, 25kg, 15kg, 10kg bags, etc., or loaded in bulk.
Depending on the batch, the onions are offered stemmed and graded in sizes 40/60 – 50/70 – 60/80 – 70/90 or 80/100 or unstemmed “all sizes”.
